First stop is the historic British Museum! There are so many interesting exhibits, it would probably take days to properly take a look at them all. Sadly, we had half a day, but it was still a breathtaking and magnificent experience. I highly recommend anyone who's going to London soon to check out the exhibitions. Also, for architect lovers: the staircase is to die for.
I asked my dad to try and take more candid photos of me throughout the trip. This was the result.
Was I right, or was I right about how stunning this area was? It's so modern and sleek, you just can't help but take a picture or two (or five).
After the museum, we headed on to Shoreditch high street: home of the hipster (let's be real) and the creative. Oh, how I wish I could've spent more time among the bricked walls and cool shops, but fortunately, I manage to grab a few snaps of the area, and of course, the famous graffiti.
What's a trip to England without some good ol' fish and chips? Fortunately, we found the cutest vintage fish and chips restaurant within a few minutes of wandering Shoreditch. Called Poppies, the restaurant transports you back to fifties, with it's adorable decorations and magnets adorning the walls, and the jukebox in the corner. The best part? All the waitresses dressed up in dresses with poppies on them! I may not have gotten a picture of the fish and chips, but how could I with such an interesting surrounding?
And with this final picture of Shoreditch, that concludes another London Travel Diary. Sadly (or perhaps fortunately), I have enough Travel Diaries to keep me posted until Winter Break, which is when I can surely catch up with more up-to-date blog posts! Until then, I hope you enjoyed these pictures, and stay tuned!
