have yourself a merry little christmas

NOTE: To make up for the lack of posts these last two months, I decided to have an extra long one right now, and to (hopefully) be able to post more frequently. Yay!

It is finally that time of year again, and while Vancouver did not have a white Christmas this year (currently still a bit upset about that), it's still the season to be jolly in festive colours.

I have a slight obsession with dressing super festive according to the occasion (ex: red/pink on Valentines, green and red on Christmas), so I thought what better way than with this classic green coat. It has such a vintage and timeless feel to it which I love. I paired a simple outfit on the inside, to leave the coat as the main attraction, by wearing a simple collared shirt tucked into a leather skirt. For a little edge, I wore my black knee high socks and ankle boots. Of course, to go with my Christmas spirit, I finished the look off with a red lip.

Since my family and I don't celebrate Christmas, I took this chance to spend the afternoon with one of my best friends to check out a gingerbread showcase. To be honest, considering 99% of all stores are closed on Christmas, this ended up being one of the most eventful ones I've had. We saw the showcase, and snapped some pics, then had an early dinner at Cafe Crepe. To end off the night, I am in the midst of a Netflix marathon (comedy show, Suits, documentary, or sci-fi? who knows). Oh, it's the most wonderful time of the year....

Speechless. It's too pretty to eat.

I could not get enough of this little gingerbread village. So cute!

Yes, it's all gingerbread... I think.

*faint sound of "Let it Go" plays in the background*

And, I'll end it off with a two test shots I took of Downtown that I ended up liking. Merry Christmas!
